Gah, there is so much to say about this book. I loved it and I was hoping that most people would feel the same way. Luckily, they did. Guys too!
ReplyDeleteOut of a 5, I would honestly rate this book a 5. I did like it that much.
Though we don't obviously live in a dystopian society, the characters and story were believable. And there were a lot of things that do parallel today and society. For example, there were good and bad parts of Baalboden (the area they lived in). Females were treated as second class citizens and were valued more if they learned domestic skills like cooking, sewing, etc. The ruler was power hungry. All of these things we can relate to as a society.
It's tough to say who my favorite character is. I love Rachel because she's fiery and kicks major ass. I love that in a female protagonist. Logan is dreamy. He's got brains and brawn. He's protective, but not too protective and always tries to do right. Basically, he's my new book boyfriend.
What did you guys think?
